The leather is very smooth, and will stretch just a little bit. It looks amazing on the feet. They are quite high-heeled, but it's nothing that cannot be easily managed. They are not as stilleto-y as they seem in the picture, with a solid (small) square point of contact in the heel. The ankle straps also add comfort to the walk.
